Reasons of Award (summary)

1) Takeuchi has been contributing to the development of glass industry as the specialized manufacturer of glass forming machine, and Takeuchi is only one Manufacturer in Japan now.

2) On the base of the development of the automatic glass forming machine in 1956, Takeuchi ,as a developing company, has continuously developed variety of machineries. The advantage of Takeuchi is to be able to design and manufacture products like press forming machine, gob feeder, cutting device and other peripheral devices as per customer’s requirement.

3) Takeuchi was selected as the eligible company for the Support Initiative for Enhancing Strategic Core Technologies by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2006, and conducted the collaborative works of optical glass forming for assurance about the higher reliability.  And in 2009, successfully developed the unique technology of high accuracy glass press forming under vacuum.

4) At present, Takeuchi is developing thin glass forming machine for the cover glasses for smart-phone, head up display and etc., and is aspiring to develop the mass-production model to lead the world.
